Egg Hatching
We have now had 2 successful incubator hatches and consequently are now busy rearing fluffy chicks and ducklings. We have one hen left sitting on duck eggs and one hen has successfully hatched 3 bantam chicks.
Another hatch is possible during the coming weeks but as yet no more eggs have been set. |

Breeds kept include Marans, Welsummers, Orpingtons, Wyandottes, and Guinnea Fowl, Aylesburys, Muscovys and ordinary brown chickens more generally kept as battery hens however everything kept here is Free Range. This is lovely to see in Summer - not so pretty in winter.

| Occasionally some chickens are separated and hutched. This is so that we can breed from them. Their eggs are then incubated and then hopefully hatch into fluffy chicks and ducklings. If you like you can collect your own Free Range eggs for Breakfast - just ask.. |
